Jean-Louis,
"I love the artwork on the card by the silk painter from Quebec - the stone farmhouses of the southern townships where my grandparents grew up have always touched some deep place in me. And so I responded viscerally to this card - to how beautifully he renders the Quebequois farmhouse and all the colors of the snow. You selected the perfect card to send to me. Thank you".

Jean-Louis,
I received the most beautiful painting yesterday afternoon!
Jean-Louis the painting is so much more beautiful in person!!!! You have
great control over your resists and your lines are so fine and well thought
out. Don and I are both in love with the painting. Don was standing in front
of the painting last night in the living room and I was in the kitchen, I
heard him say "This is good" then a pause and "Wow, this is really
good!"
Be Well Jean-Louis.
Blessings,
Linda And Don

Monsieur Mireault,
Quel
talent!
Très cordialement,
Renée Annetta Dufour, Gatineau, Québec

Your art is beautiful, and your bright colors were a comfort to me. I appreciate your comments on Yahoo Silk painters Group as much as your devotion to your art. If I have not said it before, I think your art is joyful, beautiful and the colors scintillating. The Silk Painting Group offers so much support, advice and technical instruction. It is a wonderful thing. Have you ever thought about being a member of the UN? You seem to have all the makings of a first-class diplomat.

Congrats on your show and good luck on the next one also. It is so very much
fun selling painted silks. Silk is so beautiful and light. It's a pleasure both
to paint and sell. It also makes such a nice and special gifts. Your art is
beautiful, and I know you'll do well.

Dear Jean-Louis,
My name is Gypsy, I am new to silk painting and have very much appreciated
all the posts here to learn from.
I live in Washington State, United States and find your translated poetry of
'The kiss", one of your artworks, to be beautiful !! Thank you! It touched
my heart, and I was compelled to reply.
Sincerely,
Gypsy
I am sooooooooooo excited!!!Thank you so much for your reply and advice. Your
website is beautiful and your resume
fantastic. An amazing thing happened. I touched the brush to the silk and I was
in love.
So in love, that I boxed everything else I have up and bought every supply
I needed to do silks full time. I have
never been this impulsive in my whole life...but I am sooooooooooo
excited!!!
I wanted to tell you this story, so you knew how important this advice was
to me. I am really stepping out on a limb because I have put a lot of time
and effort into establishing myself in other mediums and now I am sort of
throwing it all away. The funny thing is...for me...I don't feel like I'm
throwing anything away, instead I feel reborn!
Wish me Luck!!!
Blessings,
Shawn from Florida
Bonjour, Jean-Louis!
I would like to note the exquisite complexity of the painting with the red tulips.
It is a little bit beyond what many of the other paintings I've seen on the
internet have done. Sometimes I worry my judgement is skewed by viewing on the
computer rather than in person, but I was confident enough of this comment to
write it down.
Great job!
Be well,

J'ai visité votre site, un grand moment de plaisir ....
Une maîtrise technique indiscutable, je ne vous cache pas ma
surprise
de voir ce que la peinture sur soie peut offrir sous vos pinceaux.
Encore bravo

I am very impressed with the scope of your work and wonder what medium you use for your silk paintings. I am using dyes and paints, but can't decide which to stick with. The various dyes seem to blend more easily and almost paint themselves, whereas the paints allow for more control. Your landscapes are so very detailed, I would assume that paints were used. Of course, I would be very appreciative for any information you wish to disclose. At this moment , I am facing a fresh white piece of silk, needing a choice of medium and subject to get started. It is tempting to want to try a detailed painting , but scary at the same time, knowing I am a more chaotic painter. Thanks for any help! I love to look at your work!!!!!!

Absolute Art is really working! Very nice place to visit. You are the great Mireault's Artist.

Your work is inspirational! I love your choice of compositions & the colours are amazing. I have been painting on silk with French dyes, using resist, since 1975 and have also shown my work at various galleries here on Vancouver Island, B.C. I was wondering why you are not a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists as I am considering applying for membership and was wondering if they don't consider our medium an art form? Also the use of watercolours on silk is facinating. Do you still use resist and do you eliminate steaming by using watercolours? Also I was wondering why you describe your work as textile? Thank you inadvance for any reply you might have time to send me. Again keep up the marvelous work, it's very inspiring! Sincerely
Rhonda Deering
Jean-Louis,
